Struck in solid 22-carat gold and weighing approximately 4 ounces, the medal features a finely executed portrait of Pádraig Pearse to the obverse, with the reverse engraved with a quotation from the Proclamation of the Irish Republic.

The medal is presented in its original fitted case by Worboys Dublin and has Dublin Assay Office hallmarks for 22k Gold and is also numbered.
