This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and The Antiques Room ("The Antiques Room ", "we" or "us”) which operates the website with the domain name www.TheAntiquesRoom.com (the “Site”).
It documents your rights and responsibilities and ours with regards to (a) your access to the Site; (b) your use of the Site; (c) any communications sent from The Antiques Room; (d) all information, products, software, services, and materials contained on or our site.
By entering the Site you unconditionally accept the terms and conditions in this Agreement (set out below) and any future alterations we may make subsequently.
Anyone who enters our Site is deemed a user ("User"). You are free to enter the site whenever you wish whilst adhering to all the relevant terms and conditions.
The use of this website is permitted for personal use only. Please remember that it is illegal to re-publish, sell, reproduce or otherwise exploit any items on our site for material purposes from this website, or create any item based on the content of this site.

In the event that an item is sold on our premises in Galway at the same time as it is sold online, we reserve the right to cancel the internet sale without liability.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products. We cannot however guarantee that the computer, phone, tablet or other electronic device you use to access the Site will accurately reproduce these colours and images.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and will never give your details out to any third party without your expressly asking us to do so. The data we keep pertains only to transactions / orders placed by you. All transactions are strictly confidential and we capture, store and maintain your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, a European Union law that was implemented May 25, 2018.

4. Making A Purchase
To make a purchase click the Add To Cart button on the item selected and complete the steps detailed on screen as part of the Checkout process.
The price you pay is displayed on the website at the time we receive your order, however, while we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to offer you the item at the correct price, or cancel the order and send you a full refund. In the event that an item is sold on our premises in Galway at the same time as it is sold online, we reserve the right to cancel the internet sale without liability. Furthermore we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone, without explanation.
All items bought through our website will be delivered with a ‘signed-for’ delivery service including but not limited to An-Post Registered Post, Royal Mail Special Delivery and Fedex.
Dispatch of goods occurs within two business days. Once dispatched, delivery will occur within 1-2 days for destinations in Ireland, 3-5 days for UK and Europe and 5-10 days for the US and other Worldwide locations.
Goods in Transit insurance is provided on all shipments. Delivery will be made to the shipping address that you’ve provided and delivery is performed through the handing over of the goods to any person found present and ready to acknowledge receipt at the delivery address. The risk of accidental loss and/or accidental deterioration of the goods shall not transfer to you before the goods have been delivered to you or the person found at the delivery address provided.
Delivery to a PO box, to a packing station or similar is not possible.
If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service could not deliver it for whatever reason, you will be responsible for repeat delivery costs.
For deliveries outside of the European Union, local taxes and duties may apply and are the responsibility of you the purchaser.
6. Taxes & Duties
Sales are predominantly made under the Margin Scheme and therefore tax and duty exempt in the European Union. For deliveries outside of the European Union, local taxes and duties may apply and are the responsibility of you the purchaser. If assistance is required in assessing the likely import taxes or duties in your location please contact us and we will endeavour on a best efforts basis to assist you in determining the likely additional costs.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide services to you shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
Items sold on our Site can be returned to us for an exchange or refund within 14 days. The cancellation period will expire 14 days after the day on which the goods are delivered to the address provided by you at the time of purchase. This returns policy refers to online distance sales only.
If you wish to avail of this you must inform us in advance of your intension to return the item by emailing us on email@example.com or by telephone [+353 (0)91 745505]. We will then advise you of the steps required in order to return the item to us.
Items must be returned in the condition in which they were dispatched. We cannot accept returned jewellery that has been worn, unnecessarily handled and/or shows any signs of wear above what was visible at the time of sale.
Items returned must be sent in their original packaging with proof of purchase, paperwork and any certificate included. The replacement cost of laboratory certificates is considerable and will be deducted from the refund amount if the certificate is not returned with the item.
If a ring or any other piece has been customised, a restocking fee will apply. This is to cover the cost of the customisation, and more significantly the cost of returning the piece to its original pre customised state.
Refunds will be paid in the same method as used to purchase without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you the goods supplied.
The Antiques Room cannot be held responsible for pieces that do not make it back to us.
Additional Conditions for Non European Union customers;
-We cannot refund any import duties / charges paid by you in your jurisdiction when receiving the goods.
-Where applicable and charged by the Irish Tax Authorities any duties and/or taxes incurred as part of the returns process will be deducted from any refund given.
-We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. Due to fluctuations in exchange rates, PayPal or bank charges, an international refund may not be received to the exact amount paid. The Antiques Room refunds the total paid amount, however has no control over the amounts issued by PayPal and banks.
Any cost associated with the return of the goods will not be covered by The Antiques Room and must be borne by the purchaser.
9. Returns Policy for In-store Purchases
Items sold in our shop in 11 Woodquay Galway can be returned to us for an exchange or credit note if returned within 14 days from the date of purchase.
If a ring or any other piece has been customised, a restocking fee may apply. This is to cover the cost of the customisation, and more significantly the cost of returning the piece to its original pre customised state.
