Description
An outstanding Art Deco sapphire and diamond three stone ring in platinum dating from circa 1930.
This ring features a central 2.1ct oval cut Burma sapphire, bezel set in platinum. The sapphire is set between two Old Mine Cut diamonds with exceptional sparkle and life, and a combined diamond carat weight of 0.85cts.
This ring has a striking Art Deco design, with stepped lines of platinum to each side of the stones for a sleek and geometric form. The ring is accompanied by an independent gemmological certificate verifying that the sapphire is of Burmese origin and has no indications of heat treatment. This sapphire is one of the rarest types of sapphire, with an incredibly rich and vibrant colour that must be seen to be appreciated. The majority of stones mined in Burma are rubies, with fewer than 10% of the gemstones being sapphires, making them extremely rare and among the most coveted sapphires in the world.
This is an eye catching ring with an incredibly unique design – a one of a kind piece, well worth a trip to our retail shop in Galway to try. Alternatively contact us on Whatsapp +353 87 4666663 and we can send you a personalised video of the ring.
The ring is size H 1/2 (US Size 4) but can be resized if required.
